Initial set up

Complete the application process online and receive a username and password in moments by e-mail. Then download and install the Data Backup Express software. Its easy and our step by styep process will guide you throught he installation. You can set up what files are to be backed up and when. Allow 15 minutes for the installation and set up procedure. We will send you a user manual by e-mail.

The backup
Once installed Data Backup Express will conduct an initiall data backup securing all of your existing data. From that point on only changes to your data including the creation of new files and madification of existing files will be backed up. This ensures the integrity of your data and reduces the time required to backup your data. You can then restore your data to your computer from the backup server from anywhere at anytime. A detailed report is sent to you via email after ecery backup.

How Data Backup Express works

Automatically schedule backups of your data or make a manual backup whenever you want. The process is as follows:

You can schedule the data backup to begin at a specified time or you can conduct a manual backup whenever you want.

Our service automatically prepares your files for backup. Data is compressed for easy transfer. Our service ensures files are never corrupted during compression.

Your data is encrypted using a key your establish during the initial set up. This key is known only to you. NOTE: We do not keep records of you encryption key.

Your encrypted data is then transfered to our data backup centre via your existing internet connection over a secure connection.

Your files are stored on our backup servers at the data centre in their encrypted and compressed state. They can be retreived by you at anytime from anywhere. Only you know the encryption key and can only be accessed by you.

An email report is sent to you verifying the successful backup each time you back up your data.
